Holiday gift ideas for the Alberta golfer

With just over a week away until Santa pops down the chimney I have curated a list of some gift ideas that you can get the golfer in your life that won’t break the bank, supports local and gets you out of the bind that you’re currently facing by leaving your shopping this late! Trsut me, I’m at that stage as well…

But if some of these ideas aren’t what you’re looking for there is always one rule I can give to anyone shopping for a golfer - they can always use GOOD golf balls. Given how fast they tend to go “missing” any golfer will appreciate more ammo for next year.

Here are my picks for this year’s Christmas must have’s from our Alberta based golf businesses:

1. Tees To Green custom headcover

Ethan can bring anything to life! DM him through his Instagram page to get something custom that your golf pal will love!

SHOP: https://www.instagram.com/tees_to_green/

2. North Golf polo

Inject some colour and style into your golfer’s wardrobe with a North Golf polo. They even have a 10% off sale for Christmas...

SHOP: https://www.northgolfgear.com/

3. Cover and Hyde leather range finder case

I guess step one would be to make sure they have a range finder in their bag. And if they do it’s probably a inside a very boring case. Full Alberta leather is all that needs to be said when making this upgrade to their bag.

SHOP: https://www.coverandhyde.ca/

4. Wild Rose Golf Co bundle

A crew neck that looks good both on and off the golf course? Sign us up! And how good is that logo?

SHOP: https://wildrosegolf.ca/

5. Gift Card to an Alberta hidden (or not so hidden) gem

There is nothing better than playing a new golf course for the first time. So if your golfer is willing to drive a little further than his normal club here a few tracks I recommend, that I have played myself and are a lot of fun.

  1. Water Valley Golf Club (Water Valley, Alberta)

  2. Trestle Creek Golf Club (Entwhistle, Alberta)

  3. For my 9-hole golf people take a look at Two Hills Lions Golf and Country Club (Two Hills, Alberta)

  4. Crowsnest Golf Club (Blairmore, Alberta)

*I cannot be held accountable however for rounds being their worst score of the year. There’s only so much Christmas magic to go around.

6. Gift Card or Membership to Alberta Golf Tour

For that competitive player on your list (or maybe that’s you, and you need to hint to your significant other) grab a new membership or gift card from the Alberta Golf Tour and give (or receive) the gift of golf!

Stocking Stuffers

Here are a few other ideas that can fit perfectly into a stocking thats hung with care this holiday season:

1. Spicy Golf Co. towel

Golf towels have been changed forever with Spicy Golf Co! Golf is fun and a Spciy Golf Co towel is just that.

SHOP: https://spicygolf.co/

2. LaunchPad and CanGOLF gift cards.

Check out a couple of Alberta’s brand new indoor facilities that will help any golfer scratch the itch this offseason. Launchpad Golf (Calgary, Alberta) gives you the opportunity to hit into a full range while CanGOLF (Canmore, Alberta) now allows for golfing in the mountains year round!

3. Oz and Co. Golf custom divot tool and marker

Something custom allows you to put that personalized touch on a gift that a person will always love and separates itself from something off the department store shelves. OZ and Co. Golf can help with that. Perhaps you can customize their divot tool with a nickname or their favourite phrase they use when they 3-putt inside 10 feet…

Hopefully there’s something in here that might be able to scratch one or a few golfers off your holiday shopping list. And if you need any more inspiration, visit our Support Local page to see the other awesome Alberta based companies that are making waves in the local golf scene.
